Golden State Decides To Go For Its First Undefeated Season

Over the last few days, I was in WiFi unfriendly places that included the middle of nowhere and thirty thousand feet in the air. But somehow during that time, I managed to find out that the Warriors would sign Durant.

At first I thought it must be a joke and I had to check my calendar to make sure that it wasn’t April 1st. After all, I had heard the night before that Durant wasn’t ready to make a decision until later. And everyone had pretty much assumed that Durant was going to stay with Oklahoma City.

Then I thought: ‘Damn. Golden State’s going to be good.’

And they really are going to be good. They’ve got four all-stars on one team (although poor Klay Thompson might not make it again because the NBA won’t want to take four players from one team) and they’ll be debuting a killer Steph-Klay-Durant-Iggy-Draymond lineup that’s bound to win them another championship (or two or three).

So today as Kevin Durant officially signs with the Warriors, let’s wish him a warm welcome and hope for another stellar season.

We’ve got a lot to look forward to.
